Interesting Facts

  • In the My-HiME universe, Alyssa's birthday is on April 1, making her an Aries, and her hairstyle somewhat resembles the horns of a goat, and the fact that her birthday falls on April Fool's Day may be a reference to her status as a "fake" HiME.

  • In the fake My-HiME movie trailer produced by Sunrise Alyssa is seen sitting on a throne-like chair with Arika taunting her as a possible reference to their relationship in My-Otome. Arika in this trailer is presented as another "fake" HiME, but has the ability to materialize a weapon, therefore making her the superior of the two Searrs created Valkyries. Arika's child is pink in this trailer and greatly resembles Alyssa's Artemis, earning it the fanon name Apollo after Artemis' twin brother in Greek Mythology.

  • Alyssa's surname, Searrs, may be a deliberate, if incorrectly spelled, reference to the Sears Holdings Corporation. This is because the Searrs Foundation is a "US corporation", just like the Sears Holdings Corporation. It may also be a reference to George Sears, the pseudonym of Solidus Snake. This theory is strengthened by Natsuki's claim that the Searrs Foundation controls who becomes the President of the United States, just as how the Patriots control the American Presidency in Metal Gear.
