Monster?

No, I don't think Jacob is a monster. However, I do believe that he looks at himself as a monster when he first discovers that he is a werewolf, thus the title. It is very fitting of his character and how he sees himself, though I'm sure the fangirls would have to disagree with that opinion.

Fanlisting?

The main flist page talks briefly about how this is a fanlisting for Jacob Black of the Twilight series by Stephenie Meyer, but for those of you who are more curious as to what a fanlisting is, here's a bit of a better defination for you.

"A fanlisting is simply an online listing of fans of a subject, such as a TV show, actor, or musician, that is created by an individual and open for fans from around the world to join. There are no costs, and the only requirements to join a fanlisting are your name and country."

TheFanlistings.Org (TFL) is a VERY large network that is basically a link exchange; it has links to nearly 50,000 subjects, ranging from musicians to places to subjects in school.

Just because a fanlisting is listed at TFL (such as this fanlisting for Jacob) does not mean that it is official in any way shape or form--this fanlisting was created because I adore Jacob as a character and wanted to see how many others are a fan of his also. Neither Stephenie Meyer nor Little, Brown know of this fanlisting; it's just something for fun :)

However, if I ever do get a chance to show this to her (or if you do!) it would be wonderful to have a nice big list of fans from arond the world of this wonderful character she's created within her stories of Forks, so please add your name to the list if you're a fan of Jacob Black!

Layout?

You are currently viewing the second layout of Monster. I hope to skin this website sometime in the new future, so that viewers can select if they want to browse this website with my first or second layout. Both layouts were created in Adobe Photoshop CS and Adobe ImageReady CS, and coded in Macromedia Dreamweaver and EditPad Lite.

Graphics from the first layout were found via Google Search. When I first created this website there were no yummy pictures of everyone's favorite werewolf, so I had to...be creative ^^

This second layout features a scan from the Japanese translation of New Moon, and is the Jacob of Bella's nightmare after he became a werewolf and attempted to stay away from her.

When?

This fanlisting was approved in September of 2006, on the 16th. With fanlistings, the owners have four weeks to complete the fanlisting, and this website was up and running by the 11th of October, 2006. However, at that point in time the only thing that was here was the fanlisting for Jake. Over time I will be adding more content until all the information I consider necessary is online.

Spoilers?

Yes, there are spoilers on this website. That said, let me explain. I've read both Twilight and New Moon, and so there will be information on here from both books. If you have not finished them, know that you're not going to be very suprised when you read the books because you'll already know a few key bits of the plotline. This mostly affects New Moon, being as Jake is a minor character in Twilight, and doesn't have a major role until New Moon.

If you would like additional information on Jake I would recomend looking at the Twilight Lexicon, a wonderful collection of Twilight information maintained by Alphie & Pel. If you join the forums there you might even get to see Stephenie Meyer online and posting!
